Tanzania Agritech and Agrochemicals imports in 2021 observed a jump to US$ 989 Mn from 2020 – rise of over 24%

  • Tractors is the largest imported AGRITECH items followed by other machines, implements, agrochemicals, fertilizers, tractor parts, irrigation sets etc.
  • Agrochemicals, fertilizers and items account for nearly 20% share in the Tanzanian agritech imports.
  • Irrigation, Pipes pumps motors are among the top 10 items of importation.

China is the largest shareholder in Tanzanian imports followed by India, UK, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, South Africa & others.
